tribu kasikas of maya - haladaya festival 2008 champion
Despite the excruciating heat of the sun, dancers of Tribu Kasikas of Barangay Maya, Daanbantayan, robustly participated in the highly contested Haladaya Festival 2008. Students from Maya NHS romped off with the top plum as this year's champion in the grand ritual and showdown. The contingent was also adjudged as Best in Streetdancing, Best in Musicality and Best Datu Daya of which Wilfredo Son Jr. portrayed with all his sheer maleness and virility. Our pool of choreographers was spearheaded by Angelo Manapsal together with dance masters George Villamor, Carmelo Anthony Pacheco and Philip Menguito. Sir Trifon also helped with the conceptualization along with the incessant support of the Maya NHS Faculty and the Brgy Council.
